移民之路 _良民的重要性

想移民美國，其中一個非常重要的考量因素即是: 是否具備良好道德，証明的方式譬如出示良民証或按指紋等等.

所以，若曾經在移民前，或甚至在拿到綠卡後但尚未入籍成為美國公民前，曾經有被逮補的經驗譬如酒駕，或在警局做過筆錄，都有可能在你的移民之路上造成陰影及不便.

在最近的一個美國 Supreme Court 的案例 Padilla v. Kentucky， 當事人在美國已居住了四十年，且持有綠卡身份，曾經有過犯罪記錄，當時他所請的刑法律師在為他做認罪協商時，曾告訴他不用擔心移民上的一些後果，原因是他已在美國居住了四十年，但結果是他卻面臨了被驅逐出境的命運，很明顯地，他的刑事律師並不了解移民法而給了他一個錯誤的建議.

因此移民者必需注意的是，若意識到自己有可能在刑事上留下任何記錄，最好要同時請教移民律師及刑事律師，才能避免造成日後移民上的不良後果.
